The American Marketing Association defines marketing as “the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives.” Marketers use an assortment of strategies to guide how, when, and where product information is presented to consumers. Their goal is to persuade consumers to buy a particular brand or product.
In today’s world, many have become de-sensitized to the marketing and advertising ploys that have been shoved down the consumers throats. Especially with hundreds of thousands of MLM’s flooding the markets. (Before anyone gets bent out of shape…I am not saying MLM’s are bad. There is just a multitude of them out there promoting products.) It has become harder for consumers to determine what is good and what is not. With that in mind, here is my philosophy on marketing your company or product.
Be consistant in your marketing and advertising, & have longevity too. The longer you are being seen and heard on a daily basis, the more trust you build. People need to know you are going to be around…thus the logevity. They also think (perception) that marketing and advertising daily means you won’t be going out of business anytime soon.
A consumer’s perception is critical to a business trying to put down roots in a community. If they are doing “hit and miss advertising”… they seem desperate. If they are constantly throwing out “B1G1 deals”… they are either jacking up the price to cover cost or they don’t know how to order…”soon out of business”
People are tired of being burned and getting screwed over, which makes it very hard for legitimate and honest businesses to survive. Tucker Communications is constantly educating business owners on do’s and don’ts when it comes to Marketing and Advertising their business.
